Here in the US, we’re on the cusp of Black Friday and the biggest shopping weekend of the year. For the planner community, this time is even more significant because it’s the perfect opportunity to prepare for the new year by stocking up on all our favorite inserts, agendas, and accessories.

This past year, I experimented with a lot of different planner styles, sizes, and types. I really looked at 2024 as my year for testing, experimenting, and iterating my planning approach. This year, I’m looking forward to taking the best of what I’ve learned and applying it to streamline my 2025 planner setup.

My current 2025 lineup consists of three different planners — a wire-bound A5 weekly task planner and a book-bound undated weekly admin planner from Cloth & Paper, as well as my trusty A5 rings agenda. I’ll be using my task planner as an all-in-one manager for my work, home life, and goals. My undated admin planner is for social media and content planning. Finally, I’ll use my A5 rings for all of my favorite project and task-specific inserts.

With this plan in mind, I’ve put together a shortlist of all my favorite planning supplies that I’ll be shopping this Black Friday to set myself up for success in 2025. From functional inserts to bold dashboard designs and elevated accessories, these are the planning essentials I’ll be adding to my cart this Black Friday weekend.

First up are the three main planners I’ll be relying on this year. I received a2025 spiral-bound weekly task notebook from Cloth & Paper in my November subscription box this year. I’m thinking the structured layout and dedicated sections for bills, goals, and weekly tasks/priorities will make this planner a good all-in-one agenda for my day-to-day tasks at work and home.

I also purchased a book-bound undated admin notebook from Cloth & Paper for managing my social media and online content schedule this year. I really like the split layout with a simple weekly section and a blank page for notes and ideas. I also like that this planner is undated, so if I need to take a break from social media or have a quieter posting week I won’t feel bad about “wasting” pages.

For my A5 rings, I’ll be mixing and matching several of my favorite inserts, including both pre-printed inserts and printables. For my monthly overviews, I’m loving the simplicity and flexibility of this 2025 MO1P layoutfrom Crafted Designs Co. I’ll be relying on 8Lotus for most of my favorite printables and pre-printed inserts this year, including my yearly and quarterly overviews, as well as task-specific record-keeping and reminders for things like doctor appointments. If you want to shop 8Lotus for your own planning needs, you can use my affiliate code ELEVE8 to get 8% off qualifying purchases. I also have a new leather agenda in the color Ash from Cloth & Paper on my Christmas wishlist this year.

I’ll be picking up a few new dashboards and dividers this weekend, including these bold monthly cover pages and this foiled and frosted 2025 dashboard from Sessa Vee. I’ve bought and loved the velvet-textured luxe and layered planner folders from Sessa Vee in the past, and this year she’s added a gorgeous new burgundy color that I’ve got my eye on. I’m also loving this dry erase affirmation half-page dashboard from Cloth & Paper — I think it will be the perfect section marker/daily dashboard for my A5.

Lastly, I’ll be stocking up this weekend on my favorite functional planning accessories like sticky notes, page flags, and stickers. Cloth & Paper is my go-to for styles like transparent page flags and printed page flags. I love to use page flags in my planner to time block events like meetings and appointments. In my work life, meeting times often move around on my calendar, and there’s nothing more frustrating than writing a meeting in my planner only to have it moved later! Instead, I like to write appointments down on page flags with my Uni Pin Marking Pen so I can move them around in my planner schedule as needed.

I also like to use stickers in my planner to mark important dates, events, or recurring tasks. For simple single-color shape stickers, I’ve been really enjoying the products from Lucas X Studios lately. I love the muted neutral palette these stickers come in, and the fact that all the shades are named after tea and coffee beverages is a fun detail I particularly enjoy.

I also love the stickers from Your Everyday Planner for things like labels, icons, and daily mood stickers. The designs in this shop tend toward the elegant and minimal and the color options are chic and understated.

This year I’m focusing on clarity and functionality in my planner setup. I’m hoping these new designs and old favorites will provide the structure I need while also keeping me inspired and motivated to make the most of my planning routine in 2025. What about you? What planner essentials are on your shopping list this holiday season? And how are you planning to use these items in the new year?
